오늘은 영어 문법에 관한 내용으로 "each" , "every" and "all"의 

의미와 차이점을 자세히 알아보려고 합니다. 

의사소통을 하다 보면 가끔 혼동하고 잘못사용하는 경우가 있어서입니다.

Each
"Each" 개별 항목 또는 그룹의 구성원을 개별적으로 지칭할  사용됩니다. 
그것은 주제의 개성을 강조합니다.
each

Examples:

Each student must submit their assignment by Friday. 

 학생은 금요일까지 과제를 제출해야 합니다.

The teacher gave each student a book. 

선생님은 각각의 학생들에게 책을 주었습니다.

Each flower in the garden is unique. 

정원에 있는 각각의 꽃들은 독특합니다.

Each person has their own opinion. 

사람마다 각자의 의견이 있습니다.

 

Incorrect usage:

Each books on the shelf is new. (Incorrect: "books" should be "book." 단수로 써야 함)

Each of the students were absent. (Incorrect: "were" should be "was.")


Every
"Every"  그룹의 모든 구성원을 개별적으로 지칭할  사용되며, 
대상자의 분포나 빈도를 강조합니다.
every

Examples:

Every child loves ice cream. 

모든 아이들은 아이스크림을 좋아합니다.

I go for a walk every morning. 

저는 매일 아침 산책을 합니다.

The library is closed every Sunday. 

도서관은 매주 일요일에 문을 닫습니다.

Every page of the book was filled with illustrations. 

책의 모든 페이지는 삽화로 가득 찼습니다.

 

Incorrect usage:

Every books on the shelf is new. (Incorrect: "books" should be "book." 단수로 써야 함)

Every of the students were absent. (Incorrect: "every" should be "each" or "all," and  "were" should be "was.")


All
"All" 전체 그룹을 나타내는  사용됩니다. 
그것은 주제의 집단성을 강조합니다.

Examples:

All the students attended the lecture. 

모든 학생들이  강의에 참석했습니다.

She ate all the cookies.

Incorrect usage:

All student has a textbook. (Incorrect: "student" should be "students." 복수로 써야 함)

She ate all the cookie. (Incorrect: "cookie" should be "cookies." 복수로 써야 함)

퀴즈의 모든 문제는 객관식이었습니다. (전체 문제 강조)

7. Each flower in the garden is blooming. (Highlighting individual flowers) 

정원의 꽃들이 각각 피었습니다. (개별  강조)

8. Every flower needs sunlight and water. (Emphasizing the distribution or frequency of flowers) 

모든 꽃은 햇빛과 물이 필요합니다. (꽃의 분포나 빈도 강조)

9. All flowers in the park are beautifully arranged. (Referring to the entirety of flowers) 

공원의 모든 꽃들이 아름답게 배치되어 있습니다. ( 전체를 말합니다)

 "each"

"매일 아침 우리는 다시 태어났습니다. 오늘날 우리가 하는 일이 가장 중요합니다."
Meaning: Each new day offers a fresh start, and our actions and choices in the present moment are the most significant.
각각의 새로운 날들은 새로운 시작을 제공하며, 현재의 순간에 우리의 행동과 선택은 가장 중요합니다.

2. "Each small task of everyday life is part of the total harmony of the universe." - Saint Therese of Lisieux
"일상생활의 각각의 작은 일들은 우주의 완전한 조화의 일부입니다."
Meaning: Every simple action we perform in our daily lives contributes to the overall balance and order of the world.

"every"

"타격 때마다 다음 홈런에  가까워집니다." 

Meaning: Each attempt or effort, even if unsuccessful, brings one step closer to achieving a major success. 

각각의 시도나 노력은, 비록 성공하지 못하더라도, 주요한 성공을 달성하는   걸음  다가갑니다.

 

2. "Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world."  - Harriet Tubman

"모든 위대한 꿈은 꿈꾸는 사람으로부터 시작됩니다. 항상 기억하세요, 여러분은 세상을 바꾸기 위해 별들을 향해 도달할 , 인내심, 그리고 열정을 가지고 있습니다."

Meaning: Every significant aspiration originates from an individual who possesses the necessary qualities and determination to make a difference. 

모든 중요한 열망은 변화를 만드는  필요한 자질과 결단력을 가진 개인으로부터 비롯됩니다.

 

3. "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up." - Pablo Picasso

"모든 아이들은 예술가입니다. 문제는 우리가 커서 어떻게 예술가로 남을 것인가 하는 것입니다." 

Meaning: In childhood, every individual possesses an innate creativity, but as we mature, it becomes challenging to maintain that artistic mindset and spirit. 

어린 시절에는 모든 사람이 타고난 창의력을 가지고 있지만, 우리가 성숙해감에 따라  예술적 사고방식과 정신을 유지하는 것이 어려워집니다.

 

4. "Every morning we are born again. What we do today matters most."  - Buddha

"매일 아침 우리는 다시 태어났습니다. 오늘날 우리가 하는 일이 가장 중요합니다."

Meaning: Each new day presents an opportunity for a fresh start, and the actions we take in the present have the most significant impact on our lives. 

매일 새로운 날들은 새로운 시작을 위한 기회를 제공하고, 현재 우리가 취하는 행동들은 우리의 삶에 가장  영향을 미칩니다.


"all"

1. All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.  - Walt Disney

"우리가 꿈을 추구할 용기가 있다면 우리의 모든 꿈은 이루어질  있습니다."

Meaning: If we possess the bravery and determination to follow our dreams, they can become a reality. 

만약 우리가 우리의 꿈을 따를 용기와 결단력을 가지고 있다면, 그것들은 현실이   있습니다.

 

2. "All that we are is the result of what we have thought."  - Buddha

"우리가 있는 모든 것은 우리가 생각한 것의 결과입니다."

Meaning: The sum of who we are as individuals is shaped by our thoughts and beliefs. 

개인으로서 우리가 누구인지의 합은 우리의 생각과 신념에 의해 형성됩니다.

 

3. "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players." - William Shakespeare

"모든 세계는 무대이고, 모든 남자와 여자는 단지 선수일 뿐입니다." 

Meaning: Shakespeare metaphorically compares life to a stage, highlighting that everyone plays a role and has a part to perform in the grand theater of existence. 

셰익스피어는 모든 사람이 존재의 대극장에서 역할을 하고 공연할 부분이 있다는 것을 강조하면서 삶을 무대에 비유합니다.

 

4. "All you need is love." "당신에게 필요한 것은 사랑뿐입니다." - The Beatles

Meaning: Love is the fundamental and essential element required for a fulfilling and meaningful life. 사랑은 충실하고 의미 있는 삶을 위해 필요한 기본적이고 필수적인 요소입니다.
